Mr. Holeman,

I am very happy that your family had such a positive experience at this workout, with Mr. Newberry.  I have known Mr. and Mrs. Newberry for a number of years and i find that they are quality people that genuinely love what they do, in helping others reach their goals, and helping them to be all that they can be.  They are very giving people, and without me being there, I know from past experience that Mr. Newberry is an awesome instructor and motivator, and i'm sure that the people present at the workout had a great time, and hopefully benefitted from his years or experience.  Hopefully Mr. Newberry will be in the next Master's Candidates class and will be inducted as a New Master of the ATA at World Championships.  You experienced a small part of a great person.  Hope to see you again at a future event.

Dear Masters Whitehead

We missed you today - it is never the same without you gentlemen.

However, we wanted to send a special thanks to you for asking Mister Newberry to 

lead the group.  The conditioning and skill building exercises were some of the 

best we have ever seen.  Mister Newberry ran a highly energetic, thoughtful 

session that all ages appreciated.  There were a few new attendees that just 

made brown belt and they were thouroughly engaged and everyone else walked away 

with lessons they had never learned from the ATA on ways to improve their 

sparring techniques, improvement of their forms and some enlightening 

philosophies about personal development, discipline, excellence and a strong 

work ethic.

We talk to our son regularly about how life gives you back what you put into it. 

Mister Newberry unknowingly touched us and our son John today with this life 

long lesson.  Our son of course thinks that Mister Newberry is a genius because 

if someone besides your parents tell you something you already have 

heard...well, it is always for the first time....We are grateful.  Interestingly 

enough Master Nakane, - Mister Newberry told everyone that those were your words 

of wisdom and that he was sharing your leadership with them and that when 

applied, it will deeply enrich their lives.  He is selfless as well -- an 

awesome leader!  We feel privledged to have been with him today and we wanted 

you to know how grateful we are for all of you - everyday.  

I am not sure if this is the correct email address for Mister Newberry - if it 

is not, please let him know how much we think of him and appreciate the great 

workout!
